1 – Confetti Explosion (for little shakers)

We’ve all done it, especially as kids – given our present a little shake so we can guess what is inside. This often results in an unmistakable rattle or sometimes a worrying snap. But what if the wrapping itself was designed to be shaken?

• Step 1 – Wrap your gift up in plain paper and then again in clear cellophane, leaving one end unwrapped. Cellophane can be ordered online. It’s also available from all good florists (and some rubbish ones as well).
• Step 2 – Next, make the confetti by cutting up strips of shiny paper and giving some tinsel a haircut.
• Step 3 – Empty out your hole punch for some more bonus confetti.
• Step 4 – Place all of your confetti onto a piece of paper and funnel it into the unwrapped end of the cellophane.
• Step 5 – Wrap up the end of the cellophane to seal and give your present a celebratory shake!

• Step 1 – Wrap up your gift in plain paper, preferably in a box to give the canvas a more solid base.
• Step 2 – Cut out a suitably sized colouring sheet from a book or print a design off specially. Then stick this onto the present. This could be an outline of their favourite Disney character or animal.
• Step 3 – Attach some crayons next to the colouring canvas, using tape. It’ll look best if you have some snazzy coloured tape. Another option would be to drape a ribbon across the crayons and stick this down.

• Step 1 –  For each cupcake, you’ll need one baby vest and one baby sock. So it’s a wonderful way to present a double pack of vests and a cute pair of socks.
• Step 2 – Place the vest on a table and fold in both sides of it so that the arms are touching. Then fold the lower section of the vest upwards too.
• Step 3 – Now fold the vest in half width ways so that you have a narrow and lengthy section of vest to roll. Then place one of the socks at the top of this, with the toes of the sock peeping out of one end.
• Step 4 – Roll the vest tightly towards you with the sock inside then fold the exposed hem of the sock around the vest to create the cupcake shape.
• Step 5 – Pat the cake into a more defined shape, pop it into a bun case and then present in a nice box.

#4 – The Wheely Nice Surprise (for little roadsters)

• Step 1 – Put your gift into box and then wrap it up in a nice neutral colour such as silver.
• Step 2 – Get some black paper or card, measure and cut out two equal pieces of road and then use chalk to create road markings.
• Step 3 – Using a glue stick, stick your pieces of road onto the present. You could put your two pieces of asphalt at a right angle to create a junction.
• Step 4 – As an added extra you could also decorate the roadside with a house and trees made of felt or paper.
• Step 5 – Blu-tack some model cards to the road to keep them in place until the gift is delivered.

#5 – Teddy Bear’s Picnic (for little cuddlers)

• Step 2 – Cut button eyes, a nose and mouth out of black felt. Then, cut circular teddy cheeks and a white muzzle out of pink and white felt. If you don’t have felt, paper would also do the job!
• Step 3 – Use glue dots, stick back tape or a glue stick to attach the teddy’s face, two thirds of the way up the present.
• Step 4 – Cut ears, paws and feet out of the same gold or brown wrapping paper. Then stick these onto the corners of the parcel, so they half overlap the edge of the present.
• Step 5 – Finish off the gift wrapping by tying a pretty bow around the teddy’s middle.
